#Monuments&KnownPlaces - The Gherkin

Hi! Today I'm writing about one of the skyscrapers in London.

The Gherkin

That building is known as the 30 St Mary Axe or the Gherkin. It became a recogniseable building in London. It's a skyscraper and it stands on the former sites of the Baltic Exchange and the Chamber of Shipping which were damaged in 1992 by the explosion of a bomb. The Gherkin was completed in 2003 and it was opened in 2004. There are offices inside that building.

  2. Very nice post. Gherkin looks amazing reflecting the light because of its glass structure. :)
